Posted February 16th, 2010 by Charlotte

As I don’t have a good video camera, I can’t make movies to show you how to cook the recipes I’m publishing here. Nonetheless, I found another solution, which I hope will help you cook delicious meals: a video-recipes series of posts from famous and less famous cooks. For today,  chef Keith Snow demonstrates his very popular & delicious pork chops recipe.

I know I’ll just screw it up somehow.

The heat won’t be right. The oil level won’t be right. The flour or egg or breadcrumbs won’t stick right. It won’t cook all the way through if I’m lucky enough to see a nice golden outside.

Blargh, looks like Spaghetti with sauce and hamburger again tonight.

you can’t just put the chops right into the pan? do you have to put the the flour and all that stuff?

it’s a really simple dish to cook
i like to serve it with a tomato basil and some roasted garlic topping with motzerella and parmesian

Keith, what kind of pan were you using? Also, my wife won’t use non-stick cookware so it’s non-coated cast and heavy stainless. Easy to deglaze the stainless, but the cast is a pain even cleaning it Altons way!
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Danny

Sorry but the best way to make Pork Chops is on a B.B.Q!
If you don’t have a B.B.Q., marinate them in VEGETABLE OIL not olive oil (Olive oil isn’t good when frying) and add Balsamic Vinegar in the mix. Sprinkle Garlic Salt, Black Peppers, Oregano, Basil, and Steak Spices on the Pork Chops. Then when cooking in the oven or on a B.B.Q. add a liquified solution of B.B.Q. sauce (Just add a little water and mix).

  19. Adachautal says:

Olive oil is just fine when pan frying. It is not a good oil for deep frying, but for pan frying or sauteeing it works quite well.

Too much work, try flour simple salt and pepper or whatever spices you like, toss in a paper bag and fry in oil. Simple, easy, and taste great
